The Dos Rosas Advancement Award was created to invest in the potential of Latinas by providing financial support for higher education, professional development, and entrepreneurial pursuits. Through this biannual grant and scholarship program, recipients receive awards ranging from $500 to $1000 to help them take meaningful steps toward achieving their goals. Dos Rosas takes pride in fostering Latina potential, and when access meets opportunity, it creates lasting change for our families, community, and future generations! Our mission is to remove financial barriers, celebrate Latina leadership, and empower recipients to pursue their aspirations with confidence. Award recipients are selected based on financial need and their dedication to community involvement, reflecting our commitment to supporting those who are creating meaningful change. We are honored to invest in the dreams, leadership, and future success of every Dos Rosas Advancement Award recipient.

To enter, you must answer the following: What would you do with the $1,000 award? (minimum 500 words)

Application requirements for the Advancement Award include:

  • Be of Hispanic/Latin heritage  

  • Demonstrated community service

  • Financial Need

  • Be at least 17 years of age (or provide parental authorization if under 17 years old)  

  • Be a U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or recipient of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)  

  • Female

Awarded Amount: Up to $1,000 annually, non-renewable.

Additional Information: Dos Rosas is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing Latinas through professional and leadership development. We serve as a resource hub, hosting educational events and nurturing mentorship connections. Dos Rosas advocates for the integration of Latinas within all aspects of the classroom, community, and corporate structure while embracing our cultural heritage. Our biannual awards are presented to celebrate perseverance and vision. Regardless of where you are now or where you aspire to be, we encourage all Latina applicants to apply for the Dos Rosas Advancement Award to qualify for financial assistance.

Stephanie martinez

As a Latina entrepreneur, my journey began after experiencing burnout in a traditional 9-to-5 and choosing to start over with intention.

I founded Lavender & Waves to help others reclaim peace through holistic massage and wellness, and now, thanks to the Dos Rosas Advancement Award, I’ll be able to create an online course.

I first connected with Dos Rosas in 2021, never imagining that one day I’d be a recipient—coming full circle with a mission that deeply resonates with my own.

    Jocelyn Camacho-Lopez

    I am currently a high school senior, and I will be attending Florida Gulf Coast University in the fall where I will be majoring in Civil Engineering. I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to receive this scholarship as it will assist me in pursuing a bright future. I discovered Latinicida through the power of social media and love to see what the organization is all about.

    I work at an arts and social justice non-profit as the Community Resource Coordinator and am always looking for ways to grow and expand my knowledge, both personally and professionally. I am so thankful to have received the LTN Advancement Award and am so appreciative of the friend who shared this opportunity with me. I love being part of a community that genuinely champions both individual and collective success and care. With this award, I hope to continue strengthening my learning within community spaces by taking more Spanish for Social Justice and writing courses.

    Katherine graduated from Binghamton University in 2020 and worked as a paralegal for two years. The LTN Advancement Award will help her with school expenses as she expects to attend law school in the fall with the aspiration of becoming an immigration lawyer.
