The Dos Rosas Advancement Award was established to provide financial assistance to Latinas who require support in their academic endeavors or seek to initiate business ventures. This grant and scholarship program provides opportunities on a biannual basis, offering grants that range from $500 to $1,000. The program is designed to empower Latinas who serve as catalysts for change and are actively involved in the Latin community. Dos Rosas takes pride in fostering Latina potential, and the Advancement Award is intended to support the dreams and aspirations of our recipients. Our commitment lies in nurturing both personal and professional development, with selection criteria based on financial need and community engagement.
To enter, you must answer the following: What would you do with the $1,000 award? (minimum 500 words)
Application requirements for the Advancement Award include:
Possess Latin heritage
Be at least 17 years of age (or provide parental authorization if under 17 years old)
Be a U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or recipient of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
Reside within the United States
Awarded Amount: Up to $1,000 annually, non-renewable.
Additional Information: Dos Rosas is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing Latinas through professional and leadership development. We serve as a resource hub, hosting educational events and nurturing mentorship connections. Dos Rosas advocates for the integration of Latinas within all aspects of the classroom, community, and corporate structure while embracing our cultural heritage. Our biannual awards are presented to celebrate perseverance and vision.
