Event Coordination director
Position at a Glance:
Dos Rosas is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual for the role of Event Coordinator. In this position, you will lead an Events Team responsible for planning and executing events that align with the organization's core values. This remote position is responsible for speaker selection, event marketing coordination, and budget management. This is an UNPAID, remote opportunity available to the general public, including undergraduate students seeking college credit.
Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate prospective event topics, speakers, and/or themes 3-6 months prior to the approximate event date.
Establish and maintain relationships with potential event speakers, mentors, and network contacts.
Plan event details, including Dos Rosas guest speakers, timing, and utilized streaming platforms.
Manage events and address any potential problems that may arise.
Coordinate events and correspond with Dos Rosas’ Marketing Team, Outreach Coordinator, and event speakers.
Determine success benchmarks prior to each event, evaluate their effectiveness after the event, and incorporate improvements in future planning.
Qualifications:
Proven excellent written and oral communication skills.
Creative thinker, independent worker, and self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects on a deadline.
Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain an understanding of the big picture.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Highly organized and a self-starter.
Must be able to work in a mostly deadline-driven environment with some room for flexibility.
Must be available for biweekly virtual meetings with the Dos Rosas Board of Directors and Events Team.
